Our client is a fast-growing energy company and is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in the power/automation industry and proven experience in electrical engineering and project management.

Responsibilities

-Takes technical ownership of our clients international Demand Response and Battery projects
-Manages the technical delivery and risk assessment of the projects from the point of contract signature to full implementation (including setup of international companies, agreeing on necessary IT architecture to connect to customer/local Transmission System Operator, organizing pilot sites installation, organizing full roll-out of solution in country etc)
-Assembles and guides the team necessary to successfully complete the projects
-Coordinates the team, provides clear instructions and raises issues to senior management
-Provides Project Management leadership to the team, including chairing project management meetings
-Directs and supports installation and commissioning engineers
-Coordinates technical delivery with customers, including chairing regular update meetings
-Introduces and sustains project management rigour in the team
-First stop to solve customers’ technical problems and answer questions (with support of the wider team)

Requirements
-5+ years of experience
-Fluency in English; Working knowledge of foreign languages advantageous (e.g. German, French)
-Education level: Bachelor in Electrical Engineering (or higher) and formal Project Management education (e.g. APMP, PMP, PRINCE2)
-Proficient in project management
-Deep understanding of electrical/controls/automation engineering
-Experience with on-site installation
-Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams & work in a matrix environment
-Able to lead a strong team of experts to a common goal without having them as direct reports
-Highly motivated individual & commercially aware
-Strong organizational skills
-Entrepreneurial, with experience in conceiving and then managing deliverables through to successful execution
-Team management and leadership, with well-honed people skills
-First rate customer management skills, coupled with strong listening and communications skills
